One accurate identity across the places customers find you.
01
Establish the approved business information
Before editing directories, we confirm the actual business name, phone number, address-display rules, website, and hours. A service-area business may need to keep a residential address private. A tracked number also requires a deliberate implementation plan rather than random changes across listings. The approved information becomes the reference for the cleanup. We do not invent suite numbers, local offices, or alternate business names to manufacture proximity.
02
Prioritize listings that matter to your customers
Not every directory is useful or authoritative. We start with major discovery platforms and industry-relevant sources, then inspect the listings where wrong information is most likely to affect a real customer. Account ownership, verification requirements, and duplicate handling can differ. A list of hundreds of submissions is not a quality metric. The objective is accurate information on relevant sources, with a record of which changes were accepted and which remain unresolved.
03
Document duplicates and ownership problems
Duplicate records can result from moves, old phone numbers, acquisitions, or earlier marketing work. We record the conflicting entries and use the platform’s correction process rather than creating additional profiles. Some changes need the owner to verify access, and some publishers take time to respond. The cleanup report should distinguish submitted requests from confirmed corrections. That makes it possible to follow up without implying that every listing is fixed the moment a request is sent.
04
Maintain consistency when the business changes
A move, rebrand, new phone system, or change in hours should trigger a coordinated update. We create an inventory and ownership record to reduce repeated access problems. Listing cleanup supports accurate discovery, but it is not a substitute for useful service pages, legitimate reviews, or a functioning profile. We measure completion and information accuracy rather than promising a ranking increase from a fixed number of citations.
